A Complaint Letter by Anastasia (Av2 TUES, 2008-09) - 250 words

To whom it may concern

I am writing to complain about a purchase I made in one of your branches in Getafe. I was looking for a Bosch 210 vacuum cleaner, which incidentally was displayed on one of your shelves. But that very one was the only one available at that time. Therefore, your shop-assistant advised me to buy it anyway, unless I was ready to wait for over a fortnight. This electrical appliance was in perfect condition and, I would take it without the original packaging but with the corresponding guarantee and receipt. Although there was no discount, I finally agreed.

It was not until I needed to have my vacuum cleaner repaired that I learnt that the receipt you had given me did not match the item I had actually bought. In other words, the Bosch repair service made me notice that the code number fixed at the back of my appliance was different to the one described on the receipt. Therefore, it was not under guarantee even though that period had not expired yet.  Consequently, I had to pay for its repair.

For everything mentioned above, I feel it would be fair you somehow compensate your mistake.

Please, find enclosed a copy of the papers that prove the veracity of the events I describe above, including a document signed by the shop-assistant confirming my statement.
