The Knight in Rusty Armour
by Robert Fisher
Did you know that there are books which seem to be for children but, actually, they are absolutely addressed to adults? Or that almost all the people wear a suit of armour to protect themselves from the others? I certainly didn’t, until I read Robert Fisher’s story about a knight who must face a life-changing challenge because he needs to look for a way to free himself from his armour.
This book provides a revealing insight into human beings because when you read it – or at least that was my case – you really identify with the main character. One particular strength of the book is that it is a mixture of fiction (for instance, the creatures that accompany the knight in his hard journey) and real life.
Furthermore, the story is narrated with Fisher’s subtle sense of humour, which – if you manage to notice it – will have you laughing out loud from the beginning of the book.
And if you are not a great knights’ adventures fan, don’t be put off by the title because it is much more than a book about knights: it is an experience which expands our minds and touches our hearts.
The Knight in Rusty Armour is an excellent read. It is both entertaining and educational and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in self-discovery and improving intrapersonal and interpersonal skills.
