One day in my life

It was pouring rain outside the hut. The forest was beautiful, greener than ever and it smelled of wet earth. Nobody was outside on such as unpleasant day. The beach was deserted and despite the grey clouds, the landscape was gorgeous. Despite the deep rain, the summer storm was unforgettable.

He was tough on the exterior, but goofy, caring and charming on the inside. She was a hard nut to crack, both on the inside and outside, but a kind and nice person all the same.

They were partners in every sense of the word. And together they were invincible.

They had been told apologizing was a sign of weakness. He had made a mistake that hurt her. He wanted to apologize, but had been taught not to. She wanted him to apologize, but he was stubborn. In the end, they did nothing, and their trust in each other broke.

She had lied and he found out. She said it was to protect him, but he didn't believe her. Their trust was already shattered, so this only made things worse. She didn't apologize -- he didn't expect her to. She wanted him to understand, but he couldn't.

She was taught that feelings such as love only complicated things, but she couldn't help it when she looked at him.
He always thought he would never settle down, that having a different woman every night was fun; till he met her.
But they kept doing nothing at all.
