An Informal Letter by Rocío (Av2 Mon, 2009-10) - About 325 words

Dear Dora,

Sorry that I haven't been in touch for so long. This month has been terribly busy! But today I've been catching up on all my emails and letters.

In your last letter, you wrote me you're preparing a violin concert to perform here, in my town! Glad to hear that! I'll go to the concert for sure and after that, we can hang out around the pub area, can't we? Besides, I can put you up for the weekend, so you don't need to worry about accomodation.

Apart from this, I have a rehearsal with my guitar group next Sunday. You must come and watch us 'cause my friends have arranged something special for your visit. You'll get so much out of it! but I won't tell you more…!

I remind you next Monday it's Peter's birthday. You know he's hooked on yummy food so it'd be great if you could make him that wonderful chocolate cake of yours. In this way,  you could show off your cooking skills, don't you think so? It's not worth buying him a book or something like that 'cause he never reads!

To go back to the subject of your trip here, please, remember to tell me when you are arriving in your next letter. I'll pick you up at the airport but before, I need to know what time! On the way home, I can show you around and we can do some sightseeing, so don't forget your camera!

I expect you won't bring too much luggage. I still don't know how to drive, so we'll be walking back to my house. Bring some warm clothes, or you can borrow mine.
