Report of an M-30 Accident

The aim of this report is to give statement of a collision happened between a truck and a van on the M-30 highway. The result of this accident was a seven-year-old boy and a nine-year-old girl died.

The events

I was stopped at the intersection red light. From my rear mirror I could see a logging truck approaching at great speed. I knew he wouldn't be able to stop in time. In fact, the driver skipped the red light and crashed into a minivan. 

Honestly, I don't recall hearing a horn and the wreck is the quietest I've ever heard. The van had just reached the intersection when the truck hit its side, fishtailed and flipped over the median. Therefore, it was a classic T-bone wreck, right square in its door, right in front of the truck.

After calling the 911, many drivers and I ran to the van and witnessed how the van driver recovered consciousness, wedged between the two bucket seats of the van. Although the driver and all four passengers were wearing seat belts, the children had been killed.
