The Front of a Glacier

He hadn't been told how slowly the time in Greenland went by. Christopher, dumped by her lover, enrolled in an exploratory trip which promised lots of adventure. The first inconvenience was he to survive just with the clothes he was wearing. His baggage got lost, but not his dream.

bar

Every day I go for a walk with my dog. Sometimes, I believe I am in need of going out and Trufa is the perfect excuse. I would say it is the best way to slow down my free time. However, I wonder… who takes who out for a walk?

bar

Procrastination is avoiding doing something. Procrastination is to postpone doing something you know you have to do. It's not being able to choose one idea. It's being unable to decide what to write about. I need to find a solution for my procrastination. I'll do it later.

bar

Being in Luck

My luggage was lost in Edinburgh airport for twelve days. On the last day an airport worker drove me to a hangar full of suitcases. Desperately, I searched for mine with no luck. As I was leaving to catch my plane back home, I saw my suitcase in a truck!

bar

Time goes by so slowly when you are waiting for something important. I check the clock every two minutes -- it feels like hours. When will they call me? I'm eager. I want the phone to ring now!! Well, I'll stop being obsessed and take a shower... RIIIIING!

bar

Life is unfair. My boss has a three hundred horsepower car, I have a scooter. He lives in a palace, I have a stinky hole. He has a beautiful wife, I have you. But I have something he doesn't have – the ability to blame him for all my troubles.

bar

The January Sales
After spending the whole day on the sales I have no doubt, I hate the sales. Just the word freaks me out. You'll think the same when you read this: you cannot park, you cannot find anything you want, there's people everywhere and a neverending queue to pay…

bar

A Christmas minisaga

What a terrible headache! And I still have to look for my uncle's and sister-in-law's gifts… What a spending spree… This queue is endless. I'm going to be here for hours! That woman is jumping the queue!!! Does she want to get killed by a Christmas gifts compulsive buyer??!!

bar

The Assistant Teacher

Dyslexia is a Gift, and there she was, in that school crowded with young little artists. Mr. Davis was in search of assistant teachers skilful with plasticine.  Then she thought that kind of job would fit her prospects. Well paid, she only had to change the mud for another material.

bar

The Seasons

The year is divided into four groups, consisting each of three months. The seasons are marked by changes in weather, landscape and hours of daylight. The division could be different; it depends on the reckoning -- meteorological, astronomical, and environmental. According to tradition, the seasons begin at the cross-quarter days.

A Magic Night
It was a dark night. We were walking along the street, bright colour lights shone over us. People around were excited.
Suddenly, lots of sweets rained on us!
I felt so happy!
Arriving home mum told me: remember to leave out your shoes, some biscuits, some milk and some water.

Her Nightmare

She got up sweating, went to her children's bedroom and saw that they weren't there.
She left the house and walked deep into the lush forest. Suddenly, she found herself fighting against some aggressive branches. One of these branches grabbed her ankle and held her up in the air.

bar

Lost Time

As I left that bench, I lost the course of my life...
A child cried looking for his mum. An old lady fed the pigeons. Two lovers kissed while another couple broke up...

I don't know where I was, but no place had been as perfect as that bench.

bar

bar

Her Nightmare

She got up, went to her children's bedroom and saw that they weren't there.

She went out of the house and walked deep into the leafy forest. Suddenly, she found herself fighting against aggressive branches. One of these branches grabbed her ankle and held her up in the air.

bar

Sandra's favourite holidays were when she and Marco climbed the Kilimanjaro and, by the time they came back, they had met some natives who had invited them to spend their last days over there living with their families. That was the way they learned about the African culture and lifestyles.

bar

Asparagus Soup

Laughing, in spite of its unappealing undefined color -- a grimy white or green. Asparagus soup. So daring and lonely. Is it laughing out of loneliness and desperation? Exiled from all home kitchens. Forgotten by all, except yucky dehydrated packaged soup served in sad yellow hotels and rigid grey planes.

bar

Talent and Elegance

I'm her godmother, and she, pretty gifted for dancing, always dreamed of being a classical dancer. Discovered in a TV Talent Show, she is able to dance anything – street-dance, funky… That she is a dancer is unquestionable. Beyond the ocean, there must be a place for her to shine.

bar

A Magical Journey

Suddenly everything changed. Pollution and traffic jams left behind, before my eyes green mountains, the immense blue sky and my beloved sea. Every corner was special, sightseeing the villages was an unforgettable experience. A land of marvellous landscapes and kind people mixed with a smell of milk, butter and sobaos.

bar

Blues "Smoking in the Parking Lot"

Bizarre, this metaphor: persecute smokers for harming others, protect people's freedom to use cars and buy new ones every five years, utterly disregarding how critically cars are harming the environment, the death toll on the road, the wounded, the oil wars... Hypocritical and irrational. Power Holder, you're going lucky.
